General information

Viçosa is a city of the Zona da Mata of the State of Minas Gerais. It is located between the mountains of Mantiqueira, Caparaó and Piedade. It is limited to the North with the municipalities of Teixeiras and Guaraciaba, to the South with Paula Cândido and São Miguel do Anta and to the West, with Porto Firme.

The municipality of Viçosa has an area of ​​300 km² and has as its geographical coordinates the parallel of 20º45'14 "south latitude and meridian of 42º52'54" west longitude.

The city is connected to the highways BR 120, MG 280 and MG 356, besides having an aerodrome for small aircraft.
